SJOBA is an association of alumnus from St. John's Chandigarh that works on certain values and principles of promoting integrity and unity among its members. There are about 3700 members in the association and is managed by choosing executive of the organization every year. The main focus of the organization is on issuing rights of all the children and to protect them against injustices prevailing in the society. SJOBA works socially on several events throughout the year like blood donation camps or providing vocational counseling for students at the end of each year. There are other sports events like cricket or football matches between old boys and present school team, which is quite an interesting event. SJOBA also organizes educational co-curricular events like debate annually for senior students and an annual quiz competition in the school.
Other recreational activities organized by the old boys association include SJOBA Thunderbolt Rally in March, SJOBA winter Fest in December, which has interesting activities like cultural evenings, treasure hunt and a Ball dance named Winter-ball. In November SJOBA mini marathon is also organized by the association. Besides these there are several other events like teacher's day, badminton tournament, Diwali Sweets distribution or senior sports day, in which SJOBA actively contributes to make them successful. Functioning for past 30 years, this association strives to enhance the quality of education and life of all the children not only in the school but also in the society. The organization sponsors children from the economically backward front and helps the school by providing sports facilities and financial contribution. A scholarship program is also run by the SJOBA association for students who are talented academically or in sports.
