Fun Family Games, another first in SJOBAs cap, organized in partnership with the Blood Bank Society, Chd & supported by Carmel Ex-Students Association, received an overwhelming response with close to 350 participants testing their wits against each other.

The event, designed & conducted by OB Vivek Sood, was conceived to mark & celebrate the All India Blood Donation Day (1st of October) & promote the cause of Voluntary Blood Donation.

Based on the Whats App platform, the Fun Family Games had 5 different challenges. A tailor made Crossword as well as a Jumble Words Puzzle, with most answers being relatable to Blood & Blood Donation. This was followed by a general knowledge based Quiz, again on Blood Donation related facts & various misconceptions.

The 4th Challenge, required one to find equivalent Idioms in hindi to commonly used Idioms in english & in english to ones commonly used in hindi. Some really ingenious & humorous answers were received, showcasing the creative streak of quite a few participants.The games concluded with Figure Me Out, wherein a hidden code needed to be deciphered to get the answer, which too delivered a message, Join The Movement.

Fun Games were a huge hit with all, as was evident from the multiple requests received to make this an annual feature on the SJOBA calendar. The event not just achieved the objective of spreading the message of Voluntary Blood Donation but also presented an opportunity to members & others to partake in a very engaging & entertaining activity.

The cherry on the cake were the multiple prizes on offer, which ensured that over 40 different individuals had something to show for their efforts. A shout out to OB Akshit Sharma & OB Aditya Bansal who worked hard in spreading the word across & coordinating the entries.
